RRC NCR GDCE Recruitment 2026 – GDCE Notification No. 01/2026

North Central Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Prayagraj has issued GDCE Notification No. RRC/NCR/GDCE-01/2026 dated 28/09/2026 for eligible serving regular employees of North Central Railway, excluding RPF/RPSF personnel.

The notification covers 656 vacancies across Assistant Loco Pilot, Technician, Junior Engineer, Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk and Junior Clerk Cum Typist categories. Online applications are open from 01/10/2026 to 30/10/2026 at 23:59 hrs.

Only eligible and serving regular employees of North Central Railway with lien in NCR are eligible. There is no minimum service condition prescribed under the cited Railway Board instructions. RPF/RPSF personnel are not eligible.

Age as on 01/01/2027: UR 18–42 years; OBC 18–45 years; SC/ST 18–47 years. The prescribed educational/technical qualification must be held and endorsed in the service record by the closing date.

1. Single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for the relevant category/group.
2. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for Assistant Loco Pilot, wherever applicable.
3. Typing Skill Test for Junior Clerk Cum Typist, wherever applicable.
4. Document Verification.
5. Medical Examination.

The notification states that CBT has negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking in CBAT.

For Junior Clerk Cum Typist, a Computer Based Typing Skill Test is qualifying in nature and marks are not added to the merit. The detailed notification contains the prescribed typing-test provisions and exemptions for eligible PwBD candidates.
